One of the things I remember most about my brother was his eloquence and ability to speak without fear in front of large groups of people. I see a lot of his traits in my children, and this one certainly jumps out in my son Brody who loves a stage and my daughter Riley who is a sneaky great public speaker.
Sean, I love that I can always remember you when I look at my children and yours.
Here is the toast that he gave at Kim and my wedding on September 29, 2001.
This is utterly heart wrenching. I had forgotten who Sean was. How his mind, body, and voice moved. He was one-in-a-million. For sure. And he loved you endlessly. He was perfect and I am so lucky to have been his.
The second saddest part was when Catherine watched this and didn't even recognize this version of Sean.
We all lost so much of what made Sean Sean.
Like I said this summer, "God, it sucks to love Sean so much." Because it can be so painful.
